Who we are and how we work
Electrical installation and repair services from £XX (call for a tailored quote).
The property mix in Bexleyheath — inter-war bay-fronted semis and terraces on wide suburban avenues, 1950s-60s infill, a busy town centre with flats above shops — means no two jobs are alike. Our electricians spend much of their time on inter-war semis with original 1930s wiring and old fuse boxes, kitchen and extension electrics, EV chargers on driveways, and we plan each visit around the age of the wiring rather than a one-size-fits-all checklist.
What you can expect
When you contact us, we’ll explain what personal data we need, why we need it and how we’ll use it before you provide it. We apply data minimisation, collecting only details relevant to your enquiry, quotation, booking or electrical work.
You can expect us to provide:
- Clear information in plain, accessible language
- Secure handling of contact, property and payment details
- Accurate records kept only where necessary
- Straightforward ways to update incorrect information
- Timely responses to access requests
We’ll tell you when information is optional and won’t ask for unnecessary details. If you contact us by phone, email or our website, we’ll use your information to respond and manage the requested service. You may ask questions about how your data is handled at any time.
Our promises
We will handle your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law and only for legitimate service purposes; please see our privacy notice for details.
- We will provide a written fixed price before starting work where reasonably practicable; unforeseen extra work may incur additional costs with your agreement.
- We are registered with the NICEIC as an approved contractor.
- Part P does not require registration for all domestic electrical work; where the work legally requires notification or must be carried out by a registered competent person, we will comply and, where appropriate, provide required certificates.
- We hold public liability insurance; our current cover includes up to £5 million (policy terms and limits apply).
- We offer a 12-month workmanship guarantee; full terms and any exclusions will be provided in writing.
A fixed price in writing before we start
Before any electrical work starts, we’ll give you a fixed price in writing, including VAT, parts, labour and any required certificate. This supports fixed price transparency, so you can understand the agreed scope and expected cost before deciding whether to proceed.
We’ll use your contact details, property address and job information only to prepare, send and administer your quotation. Please check the written details carefully and provide written approval confirmation before we book work. We won’t treat an enquiry as permission to start chargeable work.
If you request changes after approval, or if unforeseen conditions require additional work, we’ll explain the position and provide a revised price for your approval where possible. We’ll keep quotation and approval records securely to help resolve queries, protect both parties and meet our administrative obligations.
NICEIC approved, Part P registered, fully insured
As an NICEIC approved, Part P registered electrical contractor, we’ll carry out work to applicable standards and provide the relevant certification where required. Our industry accreditation supports competent electrical work and helps you understand what documentation applies to your installation.
We’re fully insured, with £5 million public liability coverage. This protection is in place while we work at your property and reflects our commitment to responsible service. We’ll handle your contact details, address, job information and certification records carefully, using them only to arrange, complete and document your electrical work, meet legal obligations, and respond to enquiries.
If you ask about our credentials, insurance or records, we’ll provide clear information. We won’t misrepresent our registration, conceal relevant requirements, or use your personal data beyond the purposes explained in this policy.
12-month workmanship guarantee
Our 12-month workmanship guarantee covers defects arising from our workmanship on electrical work we’ve completed. If you identify an issue within 12 months, contact us with your job details and we’ll assess whether it falls within the guarantee. Where covered, we’ll return to rectify the workmanship fault without charge.
Our warranty exclusions include faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, alterations by others, deterioration of existing wiring, power-supply issues, flooding, pests, or manufacturer defects in supplied equipment. Products may carry separate manufacturer warranties, subject to their own conditions.
Our guarantee applies to the original customer and address named on our quotation and invoice. Our transferability terms mean it does not automatically pass to a new owner, tenant, occupier, or third party. This promise doesn’t limit your statutory consumer rights.
Where we work
We work from Leigh House in Bexleyheath and travel to customers across the DA7 postcode area, including the villages and neighbourhoods of Barnehurst, Colyers, Upton, Bursted Wood and Danson Park. We attend homes and businesses across Bexleyheath suburbs such as the 1930s semis and terraces in Barnehurst, the Victorian and early 20th‑century terraces around Colyers, the mixed post‑war council and private houses in Upton, the 1960s and 1970s family homes in Bursted Wood, and the older cottages and riverside properties in Danson Park. We visit your property to carry out electrical inspections, repairs and installations rather than operating a trade counter.
Because we cover Bexleyheath neighbourhoods from Leigh House through to Danson Park and Barnehurst, we use your address within DA7 to plan travel routes, estimate journey times from our base in Leigh House, schedule appointments across the town and produce accurate quotations for work on the specific property type — for example a 1930s semi in Barnehurst or a Victorian terrace on Colyers. We only collect and use address details for these purposes, plus administration, invoicing, issuing electrical certificates for properties in Bexleyheath and meeting legal compliance required by local building and electrical regulations.
Where relevant to work on those Bexleyheath properties, we may record information you give us about site access, existing water or flood damage and any local risks so we can prepare appropriate equipment, protect our engineers and safeguard your home or business in that specific area.
We do not use address information about properties in Bexleyheath for unrelated marketing, and we retain those DA7 location details only for as long as needed to fulfil the Bexleyheath‑specific purposes above.
